Black Market Organ Harvesting and the Death of Ryan Singleton
Wednesday Jan 24, 2024
Wednesday Jan 24, 2024
We are taking y’all through a journey of the world’s soft white underbelly: black market organ harvesting. Alongside exploring the macro component of organ trafficking in this episode, we will be focusing on the micro component of the case of model Ryan Singleton. In September of 2013, two months after seemingly vanishing into thin air, Ryan's body was found in an area that had already been extensively searched by law enforcement officials, less than two miles from where he was last seen and missing most of his internal organs. Is it too crazy to believe that Ryan Singleton was murdered, his organs harvested, and then sold on the black market in some underground organ trafficking ring? Due to his sexual orientation, was he murdered as a hate crime? Did he get into some trouble with the wrong people and was the victim of a terrible crime? One thing is for sure, though: a young, healthy, up-and-coming star did not just collapse in the Mojave Desert. Ryan's family are adamant that foul play was surely involved. Ryan Singleton’s puzzling death is still an open case in the state of California and Ryan’s family and friends are still desperate to find out what happened to their beloved son, brother, and friend. If you have any information about what may have happened to Ryan Singleton, please contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office at 909-884-0156 to help bring closure to Ryan’s family.

Bayou Blue: Interview with Directors Alix Lambert and David McMahon
Friday Jan 19, 2024
Friday Jan 19, 2024
Bailey and Chelsea interview Alix Lambert and David McMahon, the directors behind documentary Bayou Blue. For almost ten years, serial killer Ronald Dominique (AKA the Bayou Strangler) raped and murdered twenty-three men in poverty-stricken Southeastern Louisiana. Despite the number of victims, this case was not deemed worthy of national coverage by media outlets. Bayou Blue explores the difficulties surrounding Dominique’s identification and arrest which ranged from the underfunding of law enforcement to a lack of advocacy support for the victims’ families, to economic issues that perhaps distracted from the identification of a serial killer who was wreaking havoc from the late nineties to the mid two-thousands. A little about our honored guests, Alix Lambert and David McMahon:
Alix Lambert has directed and produced three feature length documentaries: The Mark of Cain, Bayou Blue, and Mentor. The Mark of Cain was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award, received an honorable mention from the French Association of Journalism, and aired on Nightline. She was a writer on the HBO show Deadwood and a writer/producer on John from Cincinnati. Lambert recently directed The Woods Are Real, which had its world premiere at The Lower East Side Film Festival, May, 2023. Alix is the author of Crime, The Silencing, and Courtroom and she is currently at work on CRIME: IRELAND.
David McMahon has a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of California-San Diego and has produced and directed two documentary feature films. His first film, Bayou Blue was co-directed with Alix Lambert, and premiered at IDFA in Amsterdam. His second film, the award-winning Skanks, premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival. In addition to producing and filmmaking, David has taught at UCSD and Birmingham-Southern College. He also is on the board of Trinity Place Shelter, a shelter for LGBT youth in Manhattan, and serves on the advisory board of the Sidewalk Film Festival.

Developing: Possible Serial Killer Rebecca Auborn
Wednesday Jan 17, 2024
Wednesday Jan 17, 2024
Chelsea is bringing y’all a newly identified and ever evolving case of a potential Femme Fatale. America’s newest possible female serial killer Rebecca Auborn operated around the Columbus, Ohio region. Chelsea is reporting on this case now with the little information available as it is still an ongoing investigation. What is known thus far, is that there are currently four identified victims (a fifth having survived) that were unknowingly given Fentanyl by Auborn and overdosed as a result. If this is what it seems to be, with premeditation and all, then this case sets a precedent for guising serial murder as ‘accidental overdoses’. Should you know anything at all about this case, please contact the Columbus Division of Police homicide tip line at 614-645-2228.
